- For the dough, mix all ingredients in a bowl and make a soft dough with water.
- Cover it and keep aside for sometime.
- Soak arhar dal for 1/2 hour. Than pressure cook dal adding little turmeric powder and salt for 2 whistles.
- Meanwhile, divide the dough into 2 parts and make balls from that.
- Take one ball and make a big chapati (not too thick and not too thin) and cut it into small circle using cookie cutter or any bottle cap.
- Take one circle and make a flower with it and place it in a plate and likewise make all the flowers.
- When dal is done. Heat oil in kadhai, add mustard seeds jeera and heeng.
- Add chopped green chillies, chopped garlic and chopped ginger and mix it.
- Than add dry whole red chilli and red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix it.
- Than add jaggery and mix till it melts and than add cooked dal and mix it.
- Than add aata flowers in dal and cook it for 15 minutes (cover it) and add lemon juice.
- Than give a tadka of mustard seeds and heeng and curry leaves and whole dry red chilli.
- Garnish with green coriander and serve hot.
