- 1/2 cup mustard oil
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 medium tomatoes(chopped)
- Whole spices:
- 4 cloves
- 2 green cardemoms
- 1 black cardemom
- 1 "cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- to taste Salt

- Heat 1/4cup mustard oil in a vessel till smoking point.Add chicken and turmeric powder.Fry till liquid dries.Take out and keep aside.
- Heat remaining oil in the vessel.Add whoke spices and onion paste. Saute few minutes till translucent.
- Take all powdered spices(except garam masala powder) in a bowl,add half cup water and make a paste.Keep aside.
- Add ginger garlic paste to the onion paste,saute few minutes.If required add some water and cook till raw smell goes.Add the paste to onion-garlic paste.Add garlic clove too Saute till oil separates.Add chopped tomatoes and salt.
- Cook for 3-4minutes,add chicken pieces and curd.Saute few minutes.
- Add 1 cup water and cook till done.Add garam masala powder.
- Leave for 10 minutes and serve with rice/roti.
