  10. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  11. to taste Salt
  12. 1 tbsp oil for frying

  1. Wash toor dal well and soak for 5 minutes.Cooked in cooker wait for 2 whistles...Once it is done...Switch off the flame and keep aside...
  2. Heat 1 tsp oil fry onion till it is golden brown in colour. Once it is done. Transfer to a plate and keep aside.
  3. In the same kadai add little oil. When the oil is hot...Fry 1/2 of the onin then add crushed garlic, chopped green chillies and chopped tomato...Saute it for few minutes. Then add haldi powder, hing, and salt...Add little water and cooked till the vegetables cook well.
  4. Add mashed dal...Saute it for few minutes...
  5. Then transfer to a cooker. Wait for 2 whistles. Once it is done. Cool it. Open the lid and trans to a bowl. Garnish with fried onion......Ready to serve...with steam rice..................
